Continuing our discussion from last week, until there was a Law, covenant, or agreement between God and man, there was no way to sin! Adam and he alone was in covenant with God for the eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve was not. Had Eve eaten, she would have not sinned. This seems extremely difficult for some to understand. Eve was in the transgression, not the transgressor!! 1 Timothy 2:12-15 Both Adam and Eve passed on to mankind a curse.
Man was created by God. A part of life is death. Death at first carried no pain (as did childbirth for woman). When Adam sinned God changed the effect of death, it now would come with pain. Man would deteriorate, get old, and dissolve back into dust in or out of the grave. There are many examples in the Bible which show man DOES NOT HAVE TO DETEORIATE!! Enoch, Moses, and Caleb are examples that show man DOES NOT have to deteriorate. Animals were not affected nor ws any other creation, that all came with the Flood. No animal has EVER sinned and even though deterioration of their body comes, this was not a curse of sin! Quick death is often considered a blessing because the pain and anguish is not experienced. That man dies, then, is not punishment because of the sin, it is the natural law of cessation. That man dies in deterioration is not punishment, but that pain is associated with that death came from the penalty imposed on Adam and his seed. Eve had had children before she had sinned, with no pain of childbirth. As a part of her participation in the sin of Adam, Eve (and all the rest of the Eve’s until the end of time) women suffer pain in childbirth. Because some individual women do not have birth pains and some die without deterioration, does not change the Law of God. As has been stated many times in this series of studies; the ONLY things Adam of Eve could impose on their children would be PHYSICAL things, not spiritual. Neither Adam nor Eve could affect our spiritual make-up, association, or fellowship with God or the spiritual realm. Each human being born has an INDIVIDUAL responsibility, families, not a ancestors, nor genes answer to the “Judge of all the Earth” for them.
Adam sinned, the Holy Spirit through the apostle Paul writes; but his sin in NO WAY is equal to or the same as nor has the same magnitude as the death of Christ!! Paul’s first argument is that the kind or type of sin was not possible from Adam to Moses. The reason it could be possible after Moses is made clear; there was again a moral law (not the law of the conscience). The law of the conscience already existed before the moral law was given to Adam. The new moral law was the command to keep the Sabbath. This law was not binding on the Gentile or the Jewish women, only the circumcised Jewish male who lived under the Law of Moses!! (Even the circumcised Jewish male who lived and died BEFORE that day the Ten Commandments were given could not commit this type of sin!!) In Romans 5 the Jew was trying to make the faith of Abraham equal to the death of Jesus Christ. The whole passage is given to show the glory and power of the death of Christ-something even to which the sin of Adam could not be compared!! Death and Life are not equivalents!! GOD AND SATAN ARE NOT EQUALS. What the physical punishment given because of the sin of Adam and the participation in that sin by Eve was miniscule compared to the spiritual loss they suffered!! NO PHYSICAL DEATH WHICH WOULD ABOLISH SIN AND RESTORE FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD COULD BE COMPARED!! “For if through the offense of ONE (the) many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by ONE man, Jesus Christ, faith abounded unto (the) many.” Romans 5:15 Who are “the many” you ask? Matthew 20:28 tells us: “ Even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and so give His life a ransom for (the) many,” who Paul writes about in Galatians 3:26-27 when the Spirit leads him to write; “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus; For as many (there is your many!!) of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
There is NOTHING that can compare to the grace (plan) of God which included the death of Christ!! This is how Adam is a type of Christ. Because of the sin of Adam all mankind is affected physically so by the death of Christ all affected, spiritually, even to those who did not die on the tree as did Christ!! The SPIRITUAL affects the spiritual, the physical the physical. That is Law!!

Many study the fifth chapter of Romans when they consider Adam and his sin. Often they don’t see the overall purpose of Romans or the fifth chapter. The Jew had a argument with the Church of Christ over who the greatest and most important man to have ever lived. The Jew demanded a representative of their ancestry or the originator of their seed to be that man. Abraham not doubt was and is one of the important men of all time in the histories of man but in no sense comparable to Christ Jesus. Neither is anything done in time compare with the work of Christ. The sin of Adam, as important as it was, could not compare with the redemption in Christ. Sin is not comparable to righteousness.
“Through the sin of one.” Satan had been working to bring down the greatest of God’s creation, man. He had been looking for a way to bring them under his subjection as he had the angels who sinned. Adam, the un-approachable one, never seemed to entertain Satan. Eve, the last and most beautiful of all of God’s creative work was his door to Adam. Satan knew God in a way far superior to either Adam or Eve. Knowing God’s utter hatred for sin, he had to get Adam to sin. Eve could not sin in this fashion. The only way Eve could have sinned was to violate the covenant in which God included her; “multiply and replenish the earth.”Genesis 1:28 The amount of time spent with Eve shows the cunning and carefulness of the master of deceit. Adam had been given a law no other man had been given. It would become known as the “moral law.” Unlike other laws given by God at this time, the moral law did not involve the “law of the conscience.” Not detectable by man’s conscience, this sin could be committed by only one man! “ Adam’s transgression” was singularly and totally Adam’s for to Adam and Adam alone was the moral law of sin and death bound. (I fear repeating myself, but it seems many have overlooked this vital consideration!!) This is clearly seen by the fact that to Adam there was alone this possibility. God had told Adam (not Eve) “that the day he ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that day he died.” Genesis 2:17 I cannot say it often enough, Eve could NOT commit a sin when she was NOT apart of the covenant. This is extremely important in correcting the denominational lie of inborn sin. Since Eve was not accountable to God, if she ate of the tree, her eating would not have been a sin, she was merely “in the transgression.” If you violate a command that is apart of another Law of which you are not covenanted, you have not sinned. One major denomination, today, shows its misunderstanding of this principle, the Seventh Day Adventist. They try to make a command of the Law of Moses binding on the Church of Christ. This CANNOT BE DONE!! We do not and never have “kept the sabbath day holy.”
Listen to the text, again: “by one man sin entered into the world.” Romans 5:12 Can you imagine yourself the ONLY possibility for this sin? “Sin was not imputed when there is no law.” Imputed comes from the Greek word ellogeo and means to set to one’s account, lay to one’s charge. Interestingly, the Holy Spirit tells us this type of “sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law (covenant).” Romans 5:13 “The fruit (results) of Adam’s sin was in full glory and reigned from Adam until Moses,” why?, that sin was not done away, it had born the fruit (given Satan the “how to” to get man to sin, which prevailed and lorded over us. “The soul that sinned, died.” How did this sin reign? “After the similitude of Adam’s transgression.” It was a certain KIND of sin. As man was separated from God when he sinned, the very sin of which Adam participated, was not a sin anyone else could commit. There was NO moral Law so sin or one of this kind dept us separated from God from Adam to Moses!! It was not until the sabbath command that such a law again existed-and again ONLY to those to whom it was given!! No man who was not of the covenant of Moses could commit a sin by violating the sabbath day command!! No man AFTER the nullification of the Law of Moses could sin violating the fourth commandment in the Decalogue!! Only one nation, one part of that nation-the male, not woman could violate that command!! What would happen if a woman under the Law of Moses violated the sabbath command? Nothing, she was not covenanted nor did she have the evidence of that covenant, circumcision!! If Eve was not covenanted, the woman of Israel, and all Gentiles were not covenanted, it would follow that all those who broke a covenant because of the law of sin and death, Romans 8:2 It had to be broken, not inherited!!

There are rules for all things. These rules are fixed in fine and written limits, on either side of these limits righteousness cannot be found!! “The secret things belong to the Lord our God; but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.” Deuteronomy 29:29”; “Art thou the first man that was born? Or wast thou made before the hills? Hast thou heard the secret of God? And dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?” Job 15:7-10
There are things man was never intended to know. Man has an insatiable desire to know, the first man is at first noticed to be the same. God’s secrets were not withheld from mankind, this was Satan’s message to Eve. God had “the” designed way or means to satisfy what He had designed into they who were of His image, which would perfectly satisfy man’s inherent longings. Fathers, not the children, are supposed to know best!! There are some things children want that will destroy them and remove happiness. God had a provision, what man desired was against man’s best interest at this time, God had withheld this information for man’s benefit. Like a spoiled brat, man wanted what he wanted, not what was good for him. These “other things” seemed more appetizing than the fellowship of God which man would forfeit. Eve “pitched a fit” and “got her way” so now who do you think got the best of her tantrum? “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him; and He will show them His covenant. Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for He shall pluck my feet out of the net.” Psalms 25:14-15 Man wouldn’t listen to Wisdom, so, man sinned! The same is true of the offspring of Adam and Eve, today!! God had commanded Adam, “Thou shalt not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil,” and Adam could go no further. What did Adam gain by going beyond the law of God? To go beyond these limits righteousness was forfeited. God had provided a “lawful” means to know and man could not advance beyond what God would allow. Man had NO right to seek what God had not allowed! Eve was perfectly happy UNTIL Satan convinced her she wasn’t!! There was NO reason for this seeking, Satan got Eve to ASSUME God would cheat her out of her happiness. Had God EVER shorted Eve or Adam, before? Let the record show that God had said “everything was good and very good” and God cannot lie!! God WOULD PROVIDE!! Of every attainment and object of pursuit there is a right way to go about it, the increasing of happiness among men can only be found through Him who designed man, the young and foolish can never be complete or fulfilled UNTIL they allow the Designer to do His work!! Yet, like Eve, they are listening to the god of this world call the God of heaven and earth, a liar. Like Adam, they all know that their way is better than God’s way. Who else could make them happy but themselves? what makes happiness? GOD!!
To have God continually viewing the soul of man and God’s Holy Spirit through His Word continually governing the instincts and longings of man, perfect consummation of bliss results, man is perfect and perfectly happy!! It can never be otherwise. This was the first estate of our first earthly father, Adam, until his wife convinced him he could not be happy without her-for what did he trade his utopia? Should we be “wise in our own conceits”? Romans 11:25; 12:16 We need to trust God that He knows what is best! When God commands us to attend, we cry “why,” when He commands us to give of our monies, we cry “I cannot afford to!!, when He commands us to be “baptized for the remission of sins” only the wise who trust God, who “believe He is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him” answer-speak, Lord, they servant heareth, command and I will obey for I know that the “way of man” is not in himself. What IF my soul can view both, the commandments of God and the example of His Only Begotten Son, what kind of life would I be living? Listen to wisdom: “I foresaw the Lord always before My face; for He is on My right hand, that I should not be moved. Therefore did My heart rejoice, and My tongue was glad; moreover also My flesh shall rest in hope.” Acts 2:25-26
It is true God had implanted “the desire to know” in His creation, what He did not do was cause them to doubt Him. Religion has the same plight. God has given us a plan of salvation, a plan to worship Him, a plan to remain saved, and a way out of this world with eternal bliss as our end; yet man knows best. How many times do you hear someone say: “my grandfather was a ? (something not mentioned in the Bible) and equate THAT with what God inspired, revealed, and had written down?

Satan was the originator of the lie!! He started lying to angels before Eden was ever created by God and he has not quit!! He has made religious people believe that his lies are the truth, or good enough and that God will approve of their renegade disobedience and rejection of God’s Word without penalty. God even demands obedience of angels- ”For if God spared not the angels which sinned because of covetousness with feigned words made merchandise of: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not. but cast them down to hell , and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment: and spared not the old world , but saved Noah the eighth person….the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.” 2 Peter 2:4-9 If Satan could get by angels what is man as a contest against his genius??
A lie is a misstatement of fact with or without intent to deceive (the results are the same). We do not know what Satan told the pre-Edenic angels, but what we do know is that it was in contradiction to what God had commanded them and they bought it! In a lie, you only have to change ONE letter of in God’s Word to make that message wrong. For example: Jesus said: “He that believes and is baptized will be saved,” Mark 16:16, the apostles of denominationalism teach “He that believes and is not baptized shall be saved. You can be baptized but that is to SHOW the world that you already have been saved!” Somebody is WRONG, can you afford that to be YOU?? Peter by inspiration said “Baptism does already now save us,” 1 Peter 3:21, while Billy Graham says “Baptism does already not save us.”
Somebody is wrong. Who do you chose, Billy or Jesus Christ? Your choice will determine whether you have started on the road to Eternity in peace with God or on the road to Hell with enmity between you and God!! “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ, and no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into a minister of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 John writes: “He that says I know Him (I am His son, brother, friend, obedient child), and keeps not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keeps His word, in him truly is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.” 1 John 2:4-5 Satan lied to Eve and Eve loved it!!
Paul is the last to write of Adam. The water is going to get a little deep here, but we can swim out of this deep water with greater appreciation!! “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (for until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of Him that was to come.” Romans 5:12-14 There is much confusion as to the Holy Spirit’s message in this text. “Wherefore” and “therefore” always bring in the results of the previous mentioned in the chapter. The same here. Because of Paul’s argument that we were “reconciled to God by the death of God’s Son and by Christ life, we can have joy! WHY? HOPE!! “Beloved, now are we the sons of God (how?), and it does not yet appear (we have it not yet explained to us exactly what the full extent of our reward will be-it “has not entered into the heart of man what God has in store for them that love Him,” 1 Corinthians 2:9) what we shall be (the full extent of our ADOPTION is unexplainable in the human tongue): but we know (as we know in whom we have believed “that He is ABLE to do what He has promised-{Jude vs 24; 2 Timothy 1:12}, that, when He shall appear (the second time ‘without sin unto salvation,’ Hebrews 9:28-we shall look for Christ not to bring salvation into existence but to reward salvation to the obedient-to give us the adoption of sons as promised, Galatians 4:5.
Paul was using an argument to off-set a false teaching of the Jews. The Jew, using an argument against Christians that ONE man could not be the entire blessing of God for all mankind and it was not Abraham!! Dismiss Abe, dismiss the Jew!! ONE man IS THAT important to ALL mankind, CHRIST What denominationalism has done is try the Jewish approach-CHANGE the argument DISCUSS the wrong subject!! The fall of Adam IS NOT EQUAL to the salvation “in Christ”!! 2 Timothy 2:10

What makes Adam so unique? He was the first human being created. He was FIRST. This does not catch the eye of most students of God’s Word, but the “law of the first order of things” is what Eve ignored that put her “in the transgression” but did not make her a transgressor! I Timothy 2:15 He was the first “king of the Earth.” He was the first man who lived in the Paradise of God before it was separated and made apart of Hades before sin. He was the first and only person that had two beings in his body at one time (Genesis 5:1-4) before the separation which took place in the first operation of God (the second operation is far greater because it negates the sin of all who enter that spiritual operating room, baptism, being instructed by “the” faith) Colossi ans 2:11-13). He was the being to whom the covenant of God was delivered (while the two were one). He was the physical progenitor of ALL man, except Christ (He came through the seed of woman. Genesis 3:15) He was the first type of our being to come into existence fully mature. He was the first man to “talk with God and fellowship with Him on this planet” every day until he sinned He is the first and ONLY man Satan could not cause to sin so he went through his help-mate to cause him to sin. As the only man “made in the image of God” who was totally human, ADAM was the first “world wide evangelist” who spoke by the inspiration of God. Adam was all of the above and maybe even some I have left off, but Adam WAS NOT THE FIRST SINNER ON THE EARTH, neither was Adam the first liar!! The beings who preceded Adam in spiritual death were angels, led by their infamous arch-angel, the devil. John 8:44 They, like Adam were deceived. Sadly, it did not take a lot of brain work for Satan with Eve (as it does not take much to get you and I to do the same). We do not know just what Satan told them nor what he did to convince them to stake their claim to fulness and glory against their Creator, but what we do know is that he was their deceiver, they did not deceive themselves. Jude verse 6; 2 Peter 2:4 Nothing or no one becomes a sinner without doing something to transgress God’s law, not even angels!! 1 John 3:4 Animals, plants, nor the solar system have sinned. Nothing, but mankind AND ANGELS have sinned!! Did Adam pro-create angels?? What did Angels inherit and from whom?
Nothing man invents, builds, makes, produces, fabricates, develops, or brings into reality can sin, why is it even surmised then that a product of his physical body could have passed sin along to his off-spring?? Nothing else of man, created by man, imagined or developed by man accrues this curse!! What man invents AT LEAST can’t talk back to him!! Machines can tear up that man has made, but it is not through their WILL they so do!! Motors can “blow up” that men have made, but it is not because man passed along something inherent from their physical bodies to cause the motor to fail!! Man can mess up what God has created, but if left as designed by the Great Designer, it remains as God designed it. God is so wise He made this earth impossible to destroy. He WILL NOT ALLOW man to destroy what He has made!! We have been abusing this old planet for years; taking away the top soil, contaminating the water, changing the molecular balance of the atmosphere, re-routing the rivers, digging ponds and lakes where there was none, and on and on YET God made this planet that man CAN NOT destroy her!! Is mankind an inferior creation made by God? Disease, pestilence, war, plagues, and so on have never been able to eradicate what He has made. You mean to tell me you think little puny man could change God’s intended creation, the majesty of His “Mystery kept secret since the foundations of the world”??
Man’s latest grand scheme is to lie on God. He has invented, created, built, sustained, lied about God’s Word and built grand, glorious denominations. They wear different names, teach different doctrines, were started in different countries than what was prophesied, began chronologically in the wrong centuries, and even started among the wrong peoples YET man follows “the blind leading the blind” and the Church of Christ Christ started in Jerusalem, among the Jewish people, in the first century is STILL IN EXISTENCE, TEACHING THE SAME OLD JERUSALEM GOSPEL, BAPTIZING PEOPLE FOR THE REMISSIONS OF SINS, and PARTAKING OF THE LORD’S SUPPER EVERY FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK-as at the beginning AND WILL BE HERE UNTIL JESUS RETURNS-GUARANTEED!! MAN CANNOT STOP HER, HE HAS TRIED.

Did Adam literally, die? Adam was dieing already!! From the moment of conception, man starts the return to his Maker!

Did Adam literally, die? Adam was dieing already!! From the moment of conception, man starts the return to his Maker! Not left here on our own, God takes back to Himself what He has created, mankind. Aging is the name of this process of that return.
One of the greatest proofs that original sin is not true and from God is the death of the body!! Not all age, some age but very little, and some to a great extent. Aging can be sped up by intenional disobedience to God’s laws for the body or can be restrained by being obedient to His laws. Ephesians 6:3, but God controls, establishes, sets our time of existence on the Earth!! The very fact that man existed before he sinned in perfect harmony with God (although he was dieing) in the Garden, proves this truth. When sin came into being, God threw him out of the Garden of Eden, not out of physical existence!! If sin determined the time of existence, it wold be out of God’s control. Hebrews 9:27 Some of the longest lived of humanity were they who were the most diabolical yet lived the longest span of time. “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job 1:21 “There is a time to reap and a time to sow” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, and again God does not reap where He has not sowed! Length of time in physical life is not determined by being righteous. Death is not punishment it is the way God determined to end physical life whether we were good or bad. Death being a means of punishment from God is a false concept that most have been taught which came from old wives tales!! God controls ALL things, He knows the numbers of hairs in your head and the day of your death-we have an appointment that we will not miss!!
There is a physical death and there is a physical death. What changed in Eden brought about spiritual death! “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” Ezekiel 18:5-20 Sin SEPARATES man from God’s fellowship!! Isaiah 59:1-2 Jesus said; “If ye die in your sin, whether I go, ye cannot come.” John 8:21,24 The day that Adam was separated from the fellowship of God, he died-SPIRITUALLY. It would require the blood of God’s Son to repair this!! The day Adam died, spiritually, Eve DID NOT!! She was in the transgression, not the transgressor!! You think that would not be fair of God? Neither does it seem fair that some are raised with the gospel at their side and others are not-this is a curse of parental negligence, not God!!
What law did Eve violate the day Adam ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil? What law does a woman violate in rape, incest, or adultery under the Old Testament Law? There ARE some laws that are not amenable to those to whom there is given NO control!! “Sin IS the transgression of the law of God.” 1 John 3:4 “Where no law is, there is no transgression.” Romans 4:15 What law did Eve violate? She was apart of the transgression, just not as a transgressor. For to her no law had been given !! Some think because Eve could tell of the Law given Adam, she was amenable to that Law. I have been blessed with three children who all knew the plan of salvation years ahead of their obedience, who knew of the Lord’s Supper years ahead of their membership in the Church of Christ, yet NEVER partook. All of us have had children who knew it was wrong to take God’s name in vain years ahead of sinning when they , being responsible to the law, sinned when they profained God’s name!! There are many examples that all of us know that could be shown to support this truth, yet some think Eve sinned before she violated any Law, this cannot be. Could Eve have lived with Adam as a sinner? Many women have. Did she STILL have to bear children by him? Many have. What changed was (because of her part in violating the law of the 1st order), she was placed in subjection to Adam’s wishes and given pain in child birth (which has been passed to all women)! Could Eve have gone to be with God at death in the third heaven and Adam to the paradise in the heart of the earth? If this was the only thing you are considering (and calling it a sin on her part) she would not have been guilty of disobedience and would have gone to the third heaven at death!!
Things changed in the sin of Adam, his fellowship with God!! ON the cross of Calvary, Jesus cried a truth to which many have not listened; “this day, thou shalt be with Me in Paradise.” This is the first invitation offered man to come home!! It had taken God some 5,000 years or better and the death of His Son to make that possible!! COME HOME!! Jesus said; “I am the Way”.

Did Adam physically die when he sinned? Did God lie when He told Adam he would die when and if he sinned? Did Eve die the same time and for the same act as Adam?

Did Adam physically die when he sinned? Did God lie when He told Adam he would die when and if he sinned? Did Eve die the same time and for the same act as Adam? What did God mean when He told Adam he would die IF he ate the forbidden fruit?
Most people are of the opinion that God was telling Adam that the day he ate the forbidden fruit, that day he would physically die! That is NOT what God was telling Adam. Adam and Eve had begun the process of physical death from their creation. The moment we as human beings are conceived in the womb, we begin to die, physically!! Death is as natural to life as breathing, eating, or sleeping. This earthly body was never meant to exist, eternally!! Adam and Eve understood this. It was by this understanding that Satan convinced Eve to eat. When Eve told Satan about the covenant God had made with Adam (not Eve), “the day that you eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, that day thou shalt surely die,” Satan had found his way to Adam, it was Eve. Satan’s answer to Eve, in the original Hebrew was; “die, you are dieing already!” Eve knew she was dieing, what she had not seen WAS death!! TO KNOW SOMETHING, yet not seeing it, makes it a lot more difficult to understand!! You can tell a child “don’t touch eye on the stove when it is glowing red or it will burn you.” They hear you but sadly many times have to experience pain before they comprehend what you are telling them. Then, rationally, if you are “dieing already,” you might as well have what you want!! She ate! You have the right to ask “why, if Eve was not in covenant with God, did she turn up naked?” God’s law always works the way He says it will work, with or without you doing right or wrong!! A man or woman in illicit sexual acts WILL call into action the LAW of reproduction whether or not they have obeyed the command to marry. IGNORING GOD’S COVENANT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!! Eat of the fruit, you will know you are naked-this was a fact, not a conditional RESPONSE!!
Now that she had eaten she had advantage over Adam. She KNEW for the forbidden fruit had “opened her eyes,” (a phrase that is used over and over in the scriptures, see Ephesians 1:18), and she had knowledge Adam did not have. What was she going to do with that knowledge? What seems like a moment of time in the Biblical narrative may have been much longer. She was NOT a sinner, the covenant was not made with Eve, only Adam. When Christ came “walking in the cool of the day” God calls out to Adam, Adam answered, NOT EVE!! God said to Adam, not Eve, “who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou (not you and Eve) eaten of the tree (it would not have been a sin for Eve to have eaten!) I command thee (not Adam and Eve) that thou shouldest not eat?” Genesis 3:11 Adam was not aware of all that had transpired between Satan and Eve, Adam was responsible to God in the covenant he had with God, as was Eve!! When God told them “to multiply and replenish the earth, why did He not tell Eve, “get the rest of the story from Adam—it was NOT a story for her!! Sure, they discussed the covenant Adam had with God, but she was no more apart of that covenant than was Satan if he had eaten of the tree!! When Christ gave Moses the 10 Commandments, He called all Israel together to declare the Covenant, Exodus 19:10-25, they avowed acceptance, NO GENTILE WAS UNDER THAT COVENANT!! Should we discuss physical circumcision?
Eve would NOW get to show her leadership abilities. Eve with her superior knowledge caused Adam to DO something. What was that something she caused Adam to DO?? She GAVE Adam the fruit!! Did Adam know it was the wrong fruit? Yes, What would she do with this knowledge? Paul interjects the message of the Holy Spirit given him to help us to better understand. What she did, Paul explains. “the woman being deceived was in the transgression.” 1 Timothy 2:14 Satan had not gone after Adam (we now know why) only Eve. Eve was deceived by Satan, Adam was not! Eve tells the story; “the snake deceived me.” Paul writes : “she was ‘in the transgression,” not apart of it!! An infant can be “in the worship service and never sin by not partaking of the Lord’s Supper.” Adam blamed God for giving him Eve, Eve blamed God for making the serpent smarter than she (2 Corinthians 11:3), and the snake was forced to eat dust the rest of his existence; only Adam sinned!!
The only time woman could teach man, she did not!! An original Greek text puts it this way; “nature cannot suffer woman’s rule.” MEN ARE TO PREACH THE GOSPEL, NOT WOMEN!!

How far will sin take us? What will sin gain for us? What advantage is it to “die in sin” no matter how rewarding it may seem? Has sin ever made man who “died in sin” any greater in the eyes of this world than that that he was when born, sinless? What is the advantage for which all men should stake their soul’s destiny?? The type and anti-type explain the whole of God’s plan for man.
What DID sin change in the plan of God? Absolutely NOTHING! What change was wrought in the physical part of man of which mankind is responsible? Did man loose an arm, leg, eye, toe, or do not men possess all that the physical characteristics of Adam? Did sin change our inward physical anatomy? Does sin change our molecular structure? Was the first man (despite all the monkeys, apes, and bone parts scientist find in the earth) not exactly physically like men, today? Where is our next phase of evolution, we have been the same for 6,000 years??
Did sin change the way we were to enter into the world? Oh no!!, we have found out something in which we are not like Adam!! If there is one, maybe there is more!! Did sin cause man to desire woman or was that already commanded? Did sin cause man to be physically superior to women? Of course, the answer to all these questions is NOTHING CHANGED IN THE PLAN OF GOD!! Men and women were born of Adam and Eve before sin. They who were so born reproduced, built cities, established social order, and like Adam and Eve lived in this world before sin came. Genesis 4:14-17 Since Cain killed Abel, if Cain and Abel were the only two living species of humanity (as some would have you believe) , who would have been those Cain complained about who could have found Cain and killed him? Genesis 4:14 (By the way the third child recorded born was also a male-Seth.) From whom were the women born who lived in Nod? If you can’t find one, Cain did!! Genesis 4:17
Where did Cain’s wife come from? I can guarantee you she was not a trans-sexual!! When God created man and woman, of the two, which was first? If there was a first from whom came the second? Answer, the first!! The first then had to have been altered to be two instead of one, right? When the woman was made from man and had come from man, the first alteration in created humanity was fore-known, fore-planned, predestinated, was it not? If Eve came from Adam doesn’t that mess up the doctrine of inborn sin? Eve would have had to be the first sinner, wouldn’t she since she was born of Adam? You do agree that Eve came from Adam, don’t you? She was the first from Adam, was she not? She would have had to have been the first sinner since she was of Adam, right??
Did the whale, fowl, and all creation not begin to immediately reproduce when God commanded? Genesis 1:21-22 Note: “Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.” Adam and Eve did exactly the same thing or this would have been the first sin!! Adam and Eve obeyed!! Why all the fuss about Adam’s sin being first when Eve actually ate of the fruit, first? Was it not true that sin is sin? If the eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil was sin, why not blame Eve as well as Adam? If the apostle Paul by inspiration had not been so plain, would they have not made this a worse mess than they have made it? Eve was “in the transgression”, not the transgressor!! 1 Timothy 2:14
Nothing about the physical perfection called man changed when man sinned. Change had already been made!! Genesis 5:1-2 The change was Eve coming out of Adam, not Adam burdening everything from his body with sin!! Birth means to come forth from! Eve (the Church of Christ) was “taken from the side,” came forth from” the first Adam like Eve came from Adam in the operation of God. Colossians 2:11-13 That is a birth. We are “born of water and the Spirit” we come out of the water just like Eve came out of the side of Adam. It is called the “new birth”!! John 3:5, 1 John 2:29
Most think Adam was to physically to die, when he sinned, Adam didn’t!! We could never have had Eve had Adam sinned before she was created!! So Christ and the Church if Christ had not died?? Eve, the Church, could not have given birth before she was! We would not be!! How could Adam have died and later produced Cain, Abel, and Seth? If Christ had refused to die in the Garden (as some claim), Christianity would never have been!! Eve, the Church of Christ, was made FROM the side of Christ. If Christ had not died, He could not have resurrected to present His blood before His Father!!

As Adam did not know how far reaching his eating of the forbidden fruit would take him, man cannot know how far his disobedience to the laws of God will remove the shield of God’s protection over him!!. We have come to accept sin as a part of our existence, thinking it not to be as harmful as we are told. We tend to overlook the admonitions of Deity and hide our heads under the fact that somebody told us that “God is love” and would never send anyone to Hell who ever showed the slightest love for He or His Son, Jesus Christ, reasoning that IF God loved us He would not allow us to be damned for eternity!!
It makes no more sense to think that God left the determination of our eternal habitation strictly with the “newbie” just created. In-experienced, unaware of just who was their enemy, Adam and Eve were in an idealic, innocent Garden where nothing had ever impeded them. They had no natural enemies as they knew of them, for they were created in the “image” of God; they were untouchable. Led by their innocence, they would have been as blind to the restraints God would place on them as they had been the wondrous benefits He had bestowed on them. Like most people who “have it too good” who had never harmed anyone else, Adam nor Eve could have been the least questionable to motives of anything, even a snake; especially one who intended their doom and destruction. Put yourself in their shoes, who would ever have thought that a snake would be their undoing?? They had NEVER experienced the anger of God, never considered the weight He placed on His Word, nor the possibility of Him cutting off fellowship with them. Who or what had warned them of these prospects? Had this been their only chance for eternal happiness with God, it would seem rather cruel for novices as they to have been dealt “such a harsh hand.” What we will discuss in this article I hope will clear the mind of any charge anyone could bring against God!!
“It is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.” Jeremiah 10:23 When man is living his life he thinks himself at liberty to do whatever he may desire. He hears the roar of the lion at his back but pushes on to his life-goals thinking he is the master of his race. The preacher cries long and hard when no one is listening. The only Being to whom he can turn is God!! It truly is as though their work had been in vain. It remains true; “the blind lead the blind and they all shall fall in the ditch.” The brutality often incurred by the people is caused by the selfishness of their preachers. They think it is a good life every one is relatively all right and so content that they are good enough to get by, they continue on “the way that seemeth right unto a man and the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:13 The preachers and leaders of the people have done a great deal to enjoy the benefits of religion but practically nothing to repair it so as to keep it godly!! They have no eye to God or His Providence, therefore being blind, they make every “would be saint” a cold, calloused, brute who depends on himself and not of God!! When true calamity does come that has been whispered from their pulpits instead of being lauded from the highest housetops, the worshiper has no way to redress his grievances but to depend on himself, God has been long out of the picture. You cannot expect a people to pray when faith has been taken out of their vocabulary!! As Isaiah cried: “Israel has no one to lead her of all the sons she has brought forth.” Isaiah 51:18 God did not put us in this position we find ourselves!!
God did not tempt Adam, Eve did; God did not try Adam’s faith, Satan did through Eve. God did not put them in the position they found themselves so it is wrong to blame their situation and condemnation on God!! In fact, God had gone before them and given them a simple commandment that would have remedied their conduct had He just been listened to, but they ignored His predetermined plan!! God had to plan ahead because man was not smart enough to “watch his back.” Satan was the model hypocrite that stabbed Eve in the back (and she was worse than he) when she was not looking. God had to defend God!! Had God not enforced His Word, He would have become a “partaker of their evil deeds” by ignoring their insolence. 11 John vs 8-10 We have no right to cry, “sin is an evil that I must bear because it is the will of God.” God willed sin on no one, especially man, man chose, man sinned not God, but God had to be what His Word demanded Him to be so let us be like Job when “in all these things we find ourselves, we do not charge God, foolishly.”!!

Always anxious to defend God, we have set forth a premise that if irrefutable is the answer to in-born sin, Jesus dieing on the cross, and the answer to the questions of the ages. Adam could have done nothing to change, refute, alter, amend, or stop the plan of God from before time!!
False are the assumptions that man who is and was created, had a beginning, had not before existed could inject himself into a plan not of his own making which was in existence and was created in perfection before he was created and contend that ONE man could or might detract, improve upon, or change God’s plan, especially one that had been decided upon before anything was created!!
“But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the Law, To redeem them that were under the law , that we might receive the adoption of sons.” Galatians 4:4-5 Do you realize what had been decided, what had been planned, what had been prepared, what had to have happened, for the events mentioned in these verses to have come into existence?? The End HAD BEEN decided before the beginning came to be!! Who but God could know, mention the “mystery” before it originated?? I want to give all the credit to Adam he richly deserves, but telling me a mere mortal can alter or change what Deity had before prepared, what “eye had not seen, ear heard, neither had entered into the heart of man”!! 1 Corinthians 2:9, is beyond the bounds of reason and intelligence!!
“That in the dispensation of the fulness of times, He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, even in Him.” Ephesians 1:10 Who had ever heard of a dispensation? What is meant by dispensation? A dispensation is the management of someone’s property. Christ was assigned the function to manage the property which did not belong to Him, it belonged to the Father! It was the Plan of all who are called God! Again, could Adam have changed this by anything he could have done?? It has to be clear that ALL things along the way to the fulfillment of the “mystery” were just a part of the plan, a means to the end. This is where so many people get confused about the Jews. They never were THE central part of God’s “mystery,” they were only a part not the whole!! Did God plan from the end to the beginning or the beginning to the end-who would know unless it was revealed? Like the Jew, Adam was just a part of the means God was to use to bring salvation to we who were the plan!!
“He came unto His own and His own received Him not. But to as many as received Him to them gave He power to become sons of God. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:11-14 Did Adam know he was going to be the fore-runner of a type of creation to come? Did he have in hand the gravity of the situation to know he was changing the “mystery” before it could ever be revealed? Did Satan?
I am using these verses of scripture to show that without doubt or much thinking, Adam was just glad to be on the team, not the pilot who crashed the plane!! “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 All that pre-existed Christ on this planet was for the glory of Christ. Colossians 1:`5-18 All things that Christ did until the resurrection was so HIS Church could exist in peace with the Father. All things done by Deity was so salvation and adoption could be ours!! If it were not for the establishment of the Church of Christ Adam and Eve could not have been saved or to say it another way; if the Church was not the “mystery” God had in mind before creation, Adam and Eve would never have had a bright tomorrow!! “To make all men see what is the fellowship (joint contribution of all the parts put together) of the “mystery”which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God who created all thing by Jesus Christ. To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places (the forerunners who were in the working of the plan) might be known by the church. According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 3: 9-11 The Church of Christ is “the fulness of Him that filleth all in all.” Ephesians 1:23 She is the purpose of Him playing the role to save!!
Adam had nothing to do with the establishment of the Church of Christ—he is now just very glad to be apart of IT!! Abraham “looked” for her, she existed, but had not yet come to this planet!!
